Our first meeting with Capital Mark involved the company owner (Kyle), project manager (David), and interior designer (Sarah). The team walked our home with us and provided rough estimates for how much each space might cost. These were *specific* numbers and they did not balloon between the initial quote and what we signed a contract for. Capital Mark’s estimates included allocations for things like flooring, countertops, lighting, and individual fixtures; these were very useful in managing the actual project cost against the initial estimate and affording us flexibility to prioritize spend in the right places. We felt so comfortable during our initial meeting that we expanded the scope to include our kitchen and family room and it was a great decision!
Before the work begins, you’ll receive a project schedule that outlines what work is expected to be done on a weekly basis. It allows you to easily follow the progress, but the best part is that you can count on the schedule being adhered to. The Capital Mark team often says that they “live and die by the project schedule”, and they mean it. It is a priority for them to finish your job on time. As mentioned, the crew finished our eight-week job a full two days ahead of schedule!
Regarding the actual remodel, Capital Mark has tremendous construction employees and partners. From demolition to electrical and plumbing to installation and finish/detail work, these crews are top notch and treated our home with care and respect throughout the job. In addition to giving your home an entirely new look they are also focused on ensuring that it is functional and built according to current construction codes. It’s a great comfort to know that underlying the incredible new appearance of our spaces, things are functioning properly and safely.
